One of the fastest growing sports in the UK, canicross is a great activity where you run attached with your dog. It's a fantastic way of getting fit together, learning new skills and strengthening your bond.

This taster session is a great introduction into the sport where we will talk about the basics to get you started. Which includes:

* The kit you need and how to find the perfect fitting harness and equipment.

* Basic commands

* Running session at a slow and steady pace with lots of intervals

This taster session is perfect for you if you have never run before and want to start getting more active with your dog or if you are already a runner but want to learn how to do it safely with your dog.

There is no better feeling than working together with your dog, exploring the stunning local woodlands and trails and feeling the physical and mental health benefits as you strenthen your bond together.

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴:  

𝗬𝗼𝘂: Running attire: T-shirt, leggings or shorts, trail running trainers (preferred) or trainers.

𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗱𝗼𝗴: Dogs are to run in harnesses and are attached to a bungee lead that is then attached to a running belt that is to be worn by the owner. Equipment is available for you to try and borrow. 

*Water for you and your paws to keep you hydrated *Poo bags  *Doggy treats *Sun cream, sunglasses and sun hat if the weather is hot

𝗗𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀: Head towards Walesby Caravan Park LN8 3UN. Drive past the Caravan Park on the right down a track. You will come to the cattery on your right and opposite there is a parking area for you to park up.

𝗥𝘂𝗹𝗲𝘀: *All dogs to be kept on a lead at all times *If your dog can be a little bit unsociable, please ensure that they are always kept on a lead, you can confidently control them, and that you walk slightly away from the main group if needed.
